The Uganda Library and Information Association (ULIA) is pleased to announce its participation as part of the organising team for the Information Futures Dialogue Series 2026, hosted by Goethe-Zentrum Kampala.
The dialogue series is a forward-looking initiative designed to bring together librarians, archivists, researchers, and information professionals to explore the future of libraries, archives, and knowledge systems in the context of rapid digital transformation. The series will provide a platform for critical reflection on how information institutions can remain relevant, inclusive, and innovative in an evolving global information landscape.
As part of the organising team, ULIA will contribute its professional expertise in library and information science, digital transformation, and knowledge management. The association will also support discussions on key issues such as access to information, preservation of cultural heritage, ethical use of technology, and strengthening professional collaboration within the information sector.
ULIA’s involvement in this initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing the library and information profession in Uganda and ensuring that Ugandan information professionals actively participate in global conversations shaping the future of knowledge systems.
The partnership between Goethe-Zentrum Kampala and ULIA highlights the importance of collaboration in strengthening Uganda’s information ecosystem and fostering innovation in libraries and archives.
